Screening starts after an order arrives. Your team sees results within its Shopify workflow.
- Included order details
- Billing and shipping names, companies, addresses and countries. Customer-account email, phone and payment card details are excluded from screening input.
- A defined list check
- Checks against the current direct OFAC SDN and US CSL source roster, with possible-match evidence and information gaps available for review.
- One order, one review decision
- Proceed or Do not proceed covers the current screened order and its possible matches. The reason, reviewer, time and evidence stay connected.
- A history through changes
- Important billing or shipping changes start a new check. Earlier screening and completed decisions remain in the order history.
Your team handles the order.
A recorded review decision gives the team a clear point to continue its process. Holds, cancellations, refunds and fulfillment are separate actions in Shopify.
RuleNorth does not interrupt checkout or automatically apply those actions. Completed means the screening review has a recorded decision; the fulfillment status may still be Unfulfilled.
The store's procedure should explain what to do with Pending or Requires review and who can resolve questions before shipping.

Ownership and other parties
RuleNorth does not investigate ownership chains, discover every intermediary or establish who ultimately uses the goods.
Identity and other risk checks
List matching does not verify a person's identity. KYC, payment fraud, politically exposed person checks and adverse-media research require separate capabilities.
Other platforms and jurisdictions
The current app serves Shopify using its published US source roster. Other commerce platforms and sanctions regimes are outside this coverage.
Understand a no-match result.
No match found means the current check finished with sufficient identity information and no review candidate under your settings. It does not establish that every aspect of a transaction is permitted.
